Past Achievements

2015-2016 National FFA Alumni Association Awards were presented at the 89th National FFA Convention & Expo, October 19-22 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Your Kiel FFA Alumni received a Gold placing in our Region which placed us as a National Finalist & Overall Winner in the Newsletter Competition!

The Newsletters are judged on the following criteria:

Content ~ 1. Is content focused on achieving the affiliate/association’s mission? 2. Does the Newsletter contain educational articles, recognition of member and affiliate/association achievement and encouragement to participate in FFA Alumni activities? 3. Does the Newsletter promote understanding of FFA Alumni programs, promotions and policies? 4. Is the Newsletter informative and entertaining?

Readability ~ 1. Does the writing meet acceptable standards for sentence structure, spelling, punctuation and grammar? 2. Is the writing interesting and clear?

Layout and Presentation ~ 1. Does the Newsletter’s appearance stimulate reader interest? 2. Does the layout indicate careful attention to white space, page balance, effective use of graphics and the importance and organization of the article?

Your Kiel FFA Alumni received a Gold placing for the WEBSITE at the National Level as well! However, the Overall Winner for the Website division was the Shenandoah FFA Alumni, from Indiana.

On Feb 3 & 4, the 37th State FFA Alumni Convention was held at The Heidel House Resort in Green Lake, WI. Your Kiel FFA Alumni earned 1st place and Overall Winner in the Newsletter & Website Competition! In the Outstanding Chapter Award-Large Category, we placed 3rd!
