On the day before National FFA Week, the Alumni join forces with the FFA members to tie Blue & Gold Ribbons on the light posts along the downtown main street. We do this to bring attention to the Awareness & Celebration of FFA!

This year's theme is “Go all out!”, and it celebrates more than 80 years of FFA traditions while eagerly anticipating the organization's future. More than 550,000 members nationwide are participating in National FFA Week activities at local, state and national levels.
Members come from rural, suburban and urban environments and are interested in the diversity of careers within agriculture. FFA members are the innovators and leaders of tomorrow. Through agricultural education and hands-on learning, they are preparing for the more than 300 career opportunities in the food, fiber and natural resources industry.

Kiel FFA members are participating in many fun activities all week long as part of the celebration of the FFA organization. The National FFA Organization is a national youth organization of 557,318 student members as part of 7,498 local FFA chapters in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.
Established in 1929, the Wisconsin Association of FFA is an association of the National FFA Organization whose mission is to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education. The FFA operates on local, state and national levels. Student members belong to chapters organized at the local school district. In order for a school district to charter and maintain an FFA chapter, there must be a certified licensed agricultural educator hired by the school district who then also serves as the chapter advisor.
FFA members are part of a total program in agricultural education, consisting of classroom instruction in agriculture, supervised agricultural experiences where students gain career skills and on the job training and leadership development through the FFA organization.
